Now that Spring may (finally!) be here, AZ Gallery is celebrating!

AZ Gallery will be presenting a special June exhibition works by member artists, Amy Clark, Derek Davis, DC Ice, Jessie McNally, Todd Peterson, Robyn Beth Priestley, Tom Reynan, Bredan Rohde,  Beth Stoneberg.

We will also be presenting a special “Off the Garden Wall” show after Northern Spark, with a selection of hand-made garden gifts that are playful, colorful, and fun. Birdhouses, garden stakes, flower pots and more may be some of the artists’ creations that will brighten your garden after a long and dreary winter.

The AZ Gallery sets the night ablaze with a celebration of the best of Lowertown’s art and music scene. Projections of artworks by invited guests and AZ member artists will be complimented by the musicians of the Max Corcoran Project creating a new indie jazz sound with their signature combination of traditional jazz, pop, rock, and electronica.

THE SAINT PAUL JAYCEES IS PROUD TO SPONSOR THE 56^TH ANNUAL LES FARRINGTON
BEST 100 JURIED ART EXHIBITION

This year marks the 56^th anniversary of the Les Farrington Best 100 Juried Art Exhibition, which started in 1957. The Les Farrington Best 100 Juried Art Exhibition invites Saint Paul area high school art students, grades 9 through 12, to submit their original artwork for competition to be judged by a panel of three jurors from the art community. The Best 100 pieces will be publicly exhibited in the AZ Gallery from Friday, March 8, 2013, until Friday, March 29, 2013. An awards ceremony will be held on the evening before the exhibition opening, Thursday, March 7, 2013. Students will be honored for their artwork by receiving award certificates and various cash scholarships (totaling $4,000) according to three award categories: Special, Merit and Honorable Mention. This juried exhibition is one of the only non-school sponsored opportunities for students interested in art to compete against their peers.

All events associated with the exhibition including art drop-off and pick-up, judging, awards ceremony, and reception will take place at the AZ Gallery (308 Prince Street #130, Saint Paul, MN  55101). Full itinerary below:

As a civic organization for young people, the Saint Paul Jaycees are developing the next generation of leaders by providing opportunities to stand up and take initiative in their community. We engage young people ages 18-40 through project management and social entrepreneurship that will make an impact in their communities and build leadership skills.

Jaycees around the state are responsible for organizing hundreds of community festivals, fundraisers for other nonprofits, and creating opportunities for community members to engage with one another. Our Mission is to provide the opportunity for young individuals to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.
